USGS Quad Maps -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note from USGS:
US Topo is the next
generation of digital topographic maps from the U.S. Geological Survey.
Arranged in the traditional 7.5-minute quadrangle format, digital US Topo maps
are designed to look and feel like the traditional paper topographic maps for
which the USGS is so well known. At the same time, US Topo maps provide modern
technical advantages that support wider and faster public distribution and
enable basic, on-screen geographic analysis for all users.

Note's on the 2010 USGS Maps: - The Imagery is from the National Agriculture Imagery Program, flown in June of 2004, and is 1 meter pixel resolution. NAIP Fact Sheet - The Roads as shown on the maps is data from Tele Atlas, and may show incorrect road names spellings, or inaccurate placement on the map, over-top of the aerial photography. - The Names, i.e. Place Names, are from GNIS, 2008; Geographic Names Information System. - The Hydrography is from the National Hydrography Dataset, 2004. When compared to the Hydrography dataset from the County GIS Database, there may be differences in the placement of the channel lines. This is due to the resolution of the data at which it was created. - The Contours are from the National Elevation Dataset, 2004, and are at 10 Foot Intervals. Please keep in mind that the contour data in the Clinton County GIS System is at 2 Foot Intervals. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
