USGS USGS (United States Geological Survey) has a lot of data that is available; some of it for free, some at a cost. Many people are familiar with the USGS Topo Maps, sometimes referred to as "Quad Maps", or "USGS Quad Maps". You can go to the USGS Web site at http://www.usgs.gov/ and learn more about what they do and the information they have.
