1. Put your cursor over top of the name of the file you want to download; it will turn into a "hand".
2. Click your right mouse button.
3. Select "Save Target As" and save the MrSID file to your computers hard-drive.

What is a World File?
A world file is the companion file to a map or an image that includes basic plain-text information about location and scale, i.e. geo-referencing.
Download the ones you want and be sure to put them in the same folder on your computers hard drive that the associated MrSID files are in.
The world files and the .sid files must be in the same folder for them to work correctly together with GIS software.

To view the 1971 images in MrSID file format, zoom into the area you want to see and click on the middle of the Grid Name:
THEN click on the blue text and the image will open up in another Internet Explorer window.....

Below on the left is a 1968 Image sample in MrSID format; below and to the right is the same area as covered on the left but is seen in Google Earth.
Also in the image below and to the the right you can see one of the old tax maps displayed, made partially transparent.
Having a computer system with dual monitors would be really handy in cases such as this.
